Abstract
This study presents a review of Japanese geothermal fields, based on the published articles as well as governmental reports from 14 electric-power geothermal based developments. In this research, the location of the field and also their thermal specification such as temperature, pressure, enthalpy, etc. were reviewed. Moreover, they were classified based on their enthalpy and temperature into vapor-dominated, liquid dominated, or hot-water. This classification as well as their operational energy production were shown in Japan’s map to investigate the geothermal power contribution in each 9 Japanese regions. The current study also reflects the categorize the geothermal reservoir based on their energy conversation technologies including flash cycles or ORCs and based on their reported energy production in kilowatt. However, the main objective of this study is to model the flash-binary geothermal power plants and optimize it based on maximum net power output.
