Elisabeth de Jong serves as a board member of the Geothermal Resources Council.
Elisabeth is the program administrator for the California Energy Commission's Geothermal Grant and Loan Program, which has been a key driver in advancing the state's geothermal resources since 1980. Under Elisabeth's stewardship, the Geothermal Grant and Loan Program has helped catalyze geothermal projects across California. In support of the CEC's mission to develop a clean energy future, Elisabeth has been instrumental in spearheading California’s Lithium Recovery Initiative that aims to identify and breakdown barriers to lithium recovery from geothermal brine in California.
Elisabeth is passionate about supporting and promoting research and development of California’s vast geothermal resources. She values collaboration, transparency, diversity, and is a proud member of Women in Geothermal (WING).
