Anna Jentsch

Anna is a PhD student at the Helmholtz Centre Potsdam, GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences in the department Geoenergy where she is evaluating different methods for soil gas analysis in volcanic-geothermal systems as best practices for geothermal exploration and monitoring. Her thesis is part of the Mexican-European Research Cooperation on Development of Superhot and Engineered Geothermal Systems called GeMEX. She received a MSc in Geology at the Potsdam University. Her research interests include geochemistry, structural geology and volcanology in the context of geothermal resource exploration. During her 5-year research assistant position at the GFZ she gained knowledge about geological and geochemical surface mapping in geothermal areas worldwide. Currently she is working on a new project called fLUXtec which offers innovative soil gas analytics in geothermal exploration and monitoring for optimized identification of drilling targets and reservoir management.
