EGEC Geothermal
Thomas Garabetian has been working at EGEC since 2016, focusing on European policy, representing the geothermal energy sector to the European institutions, contributing to the development and carrying EGEC’s advocacy strategy. He also contributed to EGEC’s involvement in European projects, in particular regarding the financing of geothermal energy.
Before joining EGEC, Thomas worked on European affairs for local authorities in energy transition at Energy Cities. He also has a background in the economics of climate change adaptation at the Institute for Climate Economics. Thomas holds a Master’s degree in Energy economics from the Paris School of International Affairs of Sciences Po Paris.
EGEC, the European Geothermal Energy Council, is a non-profit international organization with more than 120 members across 28 countries, founded in 1998 to promote the European geothermal industry and enable its development both in Europe and worldwide, by shaping policy, improving business condition, and driving more research and development.
