Recent Developments in Controlling Scale and Corrosion in Geothermal Industry

Use of Geothermal Energy is limited due to the formation of complex deposits and corrosion in various parts of the Geothermal Energy extraction process. The presentation will focus on some of recent developments on fundamental understanding of scale/corrosion formation, cost-effective solutions to deal with these issues in various components of Geothermal loop including cooling water. Deposit cleaning, well rejuvenation, and H₂S abatement will also be discussed.
