Geothermal in Nevada

This talk will present an update of geothermal activities in the state of Nevada in 2019-2020, including highlights from:

1)      industry activities over the last year (leasing, drilling and power generation);

2)      recently-completed and new research projects underway at the University of Nevada, Reno that aim to support increased geothermal exploration and development in the state;

3)      new federally-funded, regional-scale data acquisition initiatives that are planned; and

4)      new and improved geothermal data-publishing capabilities at the Nevada Division of Minerals, and the Great Basin Center for Geothermal Energy/Nevada Bureau of Mines and Geology.
