2020 Geothermal Spotlight
To kick off the GRC Annual Meeting 2020, we have put together a brief geothermal spotlight demonstrating the resilience of geothermal in the craziness which is 2020, as well as the bright future for this renewable energy industry!

President’s Welcome
Andrew Sabin
President
Geothermal Resources Council

Join the Geothermal Resources Council president, Andrew Sabin, as we look back on the unique challenges facing the geothermal and global communities in 2020 while looking forward to reconnecting with colleagues and peers at the virtual conference and discussing the possibilities of the future.

Resiliency
Paul Thomsen
Chairman, GRC Policy Committee

Resilience is perhaps an overused term in 2020, but it applies perfectly to the geothermal industry. Not only is geothermal weathering the storms of a global pandemic and natural disasters, but it has risen to a position of strength, able to demonstrate its dependability, flexibility, and value. Eight power purchase agreements were executed this year, and the demand for geothermal is only growing stronger!

Diversity
Kelly Blake
Division Director, Navy Geothermal Program Office (GPO)
Global Executive, Women in Geothermal (WING)

WING, partnering with the GRC, has been addressing diversity within the geothermal industry. This talk will discuss many aspects including: how geothermal associations are taking action, the work that needs to be done, and what steps are being taken to achieve equity across all platforms. In 2020 the Human Race is paying attention to fairness; diversity, equity and inclusiveness will play a large role in the very bright future of geothermal and the GRC!

Using the Earth to Save the Earth: A Special Announcement!
William Pettitt, PhD
Executive Director, Geothermal Resources Council

Join us for a groundbreaking announcement that you don’t want to miss. You can be among the first to hear what it is, and why it will have a profound impact on the future of the geothermal community and use of geothermal energy around the world.
