Kevin Kitz, P.E. has worked 35 years in geothermal development pursuing ways to create new geothermal value, especially by innovative use of existing technology. His work has encompassed the gamut of the geothermal power industry from reservoir engineering, to drilling, pipelines, power plant design and construction (mechanical, process, electrical, controls, Q/A), PPAs, and O&M.
His current focus is on innovation and commercial deployment. He is working primarily in district energy systems, dry cooled condensers for conventional steam power plants, and underground thermal energy storage for power and building space conditioning. He also continues to seek ways for conventional geothermal power to be more profitable. He can be reached at kevin@kitzworks.com and 208-761-3442.
